Because I missed out on the gondola ride this morning, David and I get to go this afternoon - how kind of Jacquey. It’s much quieter and we have time to chat with the attendants, most of whom seem to be young Australians working during their gap year.
It’s a silent 8 minute ride up to the most breath-taking view over mountains and more mountains then you can walk around a deck to a glorious view over the small town of Banff.
That tiny red dot in the middle is the Moose Hotel.
What a spectacular view! We don't have such vibrant young mountains in Australia.
